Ann Russell RMT

Ann is originally from Gatineau, Quebec, and moved to Toronto in 2002 where she completed her massage therapy training at Kikkawa College. She has been a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since 2005. Ann is also a certified foot reflexologist and has received training from the Upledger Institute in Craniosacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release. Ann has worked in a variety of multidisciplinary clinic and spa settings in Ottawa and Toronto. Ann has also recently completed a Masters of Divinity at the University of Toronto.

Ann’s treatments are slow and progressive, incorporating both deep tissue and subtle techniques, using the path of least resistance so that the body/mind can more easily release stress, muscle tension, and unhelpful holding patterns. Ann listens to, and follows the body, encouraging it to do what it needs to do to heal. Her treatments blend Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, stretching, joint mobilizations, and Craniosacral Therapy. Ann will soon be expanding her practice using advanced Craniosacral Therapy techniques and Therapeutic Dialogue to provide treatments that help facilitate SomatoEmotional Release.

Ann has experience treating a variety of conditions, such as: tendonitis, bursitis, strains and sprains, TMJ dysfunction, frozen shoulder, tension headaches and migraines, lymphedema, sciatica, arthritis, back and pelvic imbalances.

Ann’s two passions in life are promoting a healthy planet and healthy people. In her free time she volunteers in promoting neighbourhood and City-wide greening projects, does yoga, loves canoeing and getting out into nature as much as possible.
