All service appointments EXCEPT the ones mentioned below will be rescheduled to after April 1st. Clients affected by this change will be contacted by phone and email and encouraged to confirm a rescheduled date and time in order to maintain a space in the calendar.

  1. Naturopathic medicine appointments with Dr. Nardini ND will be done via video conference or telephone. You will be contacted to confirm your appointment and we may need to move the time as necessary.
  2. Holistic nutrition appointments with Emily Dawson will be done via video conference or telephone. You will be contacted to confirm your appointment and we may need to move the time as necessary.

Someone from the clinic will get in touch via telephone for prepayment and make arrangements for the items to be picked up at the front door. Next pickup day will be on Saturday, March 21st.

Admin staff at Inspired Life will continue to check and respond to both email and phone messages, however, the best method of communicating is via email as that is being checked continually day and night.

In the event of an actual medical emergency, we encourage you to follow standard health protocol for medical emergencies and visit a walk-in clinic or hospital emergency centre.

March 16, 2020 @ 6:00PM – Clinic Temporary Closure

As a precautionary measure for all our staff and valued clients and patients, Inspired Life have made the tough decision to temporarily close the clinic from Tuesday, March 17th until Saturday, March 21st, inclusive.

During that time we will continue to stay informed in order to determine whether or not the clinic will reopen the following week or close for an additional week, Monday, March 23rd to Saturday, March 28th, with the decision that will be made no later than end of business day Saturday, March 21st.

For all clients who require manual physical therapies that are currently booked March 17th to 21st, you will be contacted and rescheduled to on or after Wednesday, April 1st. For clients where it is possible to do remote or phone/online sessions, we will contact you and to make arrangements for remote video consultation.

Please note that regardless of whether the clinic reopens Monday, March 23rd to Saturday, March 28th, no new appointments will be booked for the remainder of March.

During the closure period, the clinic email and phone messages will be checked and responded to regularly.

In the event of an actual medical emergency, we encourage you to follow standard health protocol for medical emergencies and visit a walk-in clinic or hospital emergency centre.

We thank you for your ongoing support and understanding.

Best of health to you and your loved ones.

March 15, 2020 – Email Broadcast

Dear Valued Client,

As you are already well aware, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been making headlines and spreading around the world, affecting individuals and the global economy in more ways than any news has ever had in recent history.

While we personally believe that the media have spread an exorbitant amount of panic, we do also believe that it is a great opportunity to understand that while there are risks involved, however small or large they may truly be, there are definite ways that we can all work together to keep our minds and our immune systems strong.

This message comes to you in 2-parts. The first is a message sharing how we are handling the COVID-19 situation at Inspired Life Health Centre, as well as what you can do, and the second is some information that we have created that can help you to support and boost your immune system throughout this time and into the future.

Part 1: How Inspired Life are handling the COVID-19 situation

It is our responsibility at Inspired Life Health Centre to let you know how we are approaching the COVID-19 situation at the clinic, and the intention of this email is to affirm our stance on keeping our clients and the public safe.

What we’re doing:

  • Continuing with all appointments as scheduled.
  • Our facility is being disinfected twice weekly by our cleaning company, as well as regularly by our internal staff, including waiting areas, offices, bathrooms, and all surface areas that are commonly touched like door handles, water cooler, and countertops.
  • Encouraging clients who may feel ill to stay home and rest.
  • Constantly monitoring the situation and adjusting protocol as recommended by Health Canada and the Government of Canada.
  • Providing hand sanitizer at the reception counter and outside the bathroom
  • Continuing the process of practitioners washing their hands thoroughly before and after patient/client appointments.

What you can do:

  • Wash your hands with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer when you arrive, and again before you depart.
  • If you have cough/flu/cold symptoms, or if you have recently traveled to any COVID-19 affected countries or know you could be at risk of carrying the COVID-19 virus, and you have an upcoming appointment at Inspired Life Health Centre within the following week, please contact us at 416-461-8688 to either have your appointment rescheduled to a future date, or arrange to have your appointment done over the phone or by secure video conference if you have a Naturopathic Medicine or Holistic Nutrition consultation appointment.
  • Avoid excess sugar in your diet as it suppresses the immune system for hours after ingestion. Instead, eat a whole foods diet that is rich in nutrients including green vegetables and antioxidant rich fruits. (See Part 2 of this email for a couple recipes)
  • Supplement with vitamin D, high doses of vitamin C, zinc, selenium, and herbal formulations that boost the immune system. Consult with your doctor or other healthcare provider for details on dosages for you and your family. You may also book an appointment with our Naturopathic Doctor at Inspired Life Health Centre for guidance. You can also book a massage or acupuncture appointment, as both services also work to support and boost your immune system.
  • Stay calm and do stay updated on the COVID-19 situation, however, we also suggest that you do not over-immerse yourself in the constant bombardment of social and television/radio updates, as this can cause undue stress and panic.

Part 2: How to keep your immune system running strong

Emily Dawson, Registered Holistic Nutritionist, has put together some great information that will help you and your loved ones to not only support and boost your immune system, but at the same time, enjoy the process.

Click the link below to read Emily’s latest blog post and also to download 2 super simple recipes that she put together that can help you to boost your immune system – a tasty smoothie, and a nutrient rich broth!
