Boosting Immunity with Acupressure

By Peter Witz, RMT, R.Acu.

With COVID-19 a serious problem at the moment, many people are unsure of ways to stay healthy. Practicing self-isolation is the best thing that we can do right now. While we are at home there are many ways to help boost our immunity safely, naturally and effectively. This article will highlight some acupressure points that can help yourself or a loved one. Using these points are not meant to replace conventional medical techniques, however when used in conjunction with western medicine it can really help reduce the signs and symptoms of the flu and common cold.

Acupressure is a method of sending a signal to the brain and body to mobilize its own natural healing mechanisms. It’s applied by simply putting pressure onto “Acupoints.”  Usually pressure is applied anywhere from 30 secs to 1 minute (when you feel a dull pressure you know you’ve activated the point. There’s no limit to how many times you can do it each day and you can do it on yourself or others. Here are a few points that are easy to use and very effective to boost your immunity and help keep you healthy and relaxed.
