John Yu RMT

Registered Massage Therapy

John is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan and is currently continuing his studies in Osteopathy. In his 5 years of practice, John has found that the Swedish techniques of massage integrate seamlessly with the soft tissue techniques that he learned from the osteopathic tradition.

His approach to bodywork work explores the interrelationship between the movements of the body and its organization.  As a result, John approaches the body as a whole; treating both the causes of pain as well as the symptoms.  He investigates not just muscle, but also the cranial, organ and osseus systems.

While John has worked extensively with yoga practitioners, runners, and other athletic populations,  he is also experienced in treating prenatal clients and clients with soft tissue conditions such as migraines, TMJ dysfunction, chronic pain, scoliosis, tendonitis, repetitive strain injuries, sprains and muscle strains.

In the past, John has worked onsite using sports massage techniques to treat varsity track and field athletes, competitive club swimmers as well as Junior ‘A’ level hockey players, the highest level of amateur hockey in Canada.  He is pleased to bring his field and clinical experience to Inspired Life and looks forward to being part of a holistic team that helps people improve their health.
