Brenda Wannamaker RMT
Brenda has been in the healing profession for more than fifteen years. She has received certification in foot reflexology in Victoria, BC, yoga teacher training in Quebec and England, Thai yoga therapy training in Thailand, and massage therapy here in Toronto at Sutherland-Chan. She has also received training in cranial sacral therapy from Upledger Institute. She has incorporated these varied disciplines into her massage therapy practice since 2005.
Her techniques are slow, gentle and specific, allowing her to go quite deep into the tissue if it allows, and if the client wishes.
Brenda assists clients with many challenging conditions such as repetitive strain injuries (tennis and golfer’s elbow), carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ dysfunction, sprains and strains, frozen shoulder, post surgical scar work and muscle tension. She particularly enjoys working with myofascial release techniques, which help increase the elasticity of scar tissue, increase range of motion and correct postural imbalances, which can often be the cause of muscle pain.
