Hatha YogaThe classical Hath Yoga Sequence provides the foundation for these Hatha classes. Classes range from invigorating to relaxing, with mainly a combination of the two. There is always the invitation to listen compassionately to our own unique understanding to, and awareness of ourselves and our bodies sensations. During classes, modifications will be suggested, so both beginners and more advanced students may each enjoy the class together. Asana’s (postures), visualization, pranayama (breathwork), meditation and/or savasana will be explored. Gentle YogaGentle yoga combines gentle movements with breath to safely build flexibility, strength, balance, and well-being. Students are led through stretches, yoga postures and breathing practices, followed by guided deep relaxation. This class is ideal for beginners, as well as those with chronic pain or stress, those returning from illness or injury, or anyone who would like a gentle approach to practicing yoga. Baby & Me YogaPracticing yoga with your baby is a wonderful way to celebrate and nurture the bond between you and your child. In these classes, special attention is placed on strengthening your core, improving posture, building confidence and relaxing using inspirational yoga postures, breath techniques and meditation. You will also have the opportunity to learn and practice baby massage and baby yoga routines that you can then bring home with you. Your child will absorb your relaxation and enjoyment from this weekly self-care. Classes are intimate and allow for personal attention, and are also a great way to meet like-minded new mothers and create community. Open to moms 4 – 6 weeks post-delivery or 6 - 8 weeks post-caesarian (please have your midwife or health care provider's permission before starting) and babies from 1 month to pre-crawling. |
